These steps connect ChatGPT or Claude to your own Buildertrend datasets in Clickr, resynced every 10 minutes. You need a Clickr account with Buildertrend connected.
Step 1 of 3
Your URL is under Developer API › MCP in the Clickr dashboard. Each Clickr account has its own.
For anyone without a Clickr account yet.
Step 2 of 3
In Clickr, connect your Buildertrend account and turn on the datasets you want.
Copy your MCP URL from Developer API › MCP in the Clickr dashboard.
In Claude, open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Paste the URL, sign in to Clickr when Claude asks, and approve access.

In ChatGPT, turn on Developer mode under Settings › Security and login.
Create an app for a remote MCP server, paste the URL and set authentication to OAuth.
Sign in to Clickr when ChatGPT asks, and approve access.

Build a dashboard of my open Buildertrend jobs: progress against schedule, budget spent so far, and what's due this week.
To keep the dashboard live, ask ChatGPT or Claude to build it to query Clickr's REST API. Clickr resyncs your Buildertrend data every 10 minutes.
Make a weekly report for each of my Buildertrend jobs: what got done, what's running late, and what's next.
Write a progress update for the client on my most recently updated Buildertrend job, from this week's daily logs, in plain language.
Clickr does not send email. Your assistant writes the update, and sending it needs your own email connected to the assistant.
